The Seismic Cultures Workshop convened 15 plus scholars from across the globe at University of Washington on September to 18 and 19, 2017 to discuss recent research on the cultural response to earthquakes and tsunamis. Participants engagde each other through facilitated discussions inspired by brief summaries of submitted papers and question prompts provided by the organizers. Together, participants will interrogate the concept of “seismic culture.”
